NYSTEC Presents Workshop for Rome Chamber

ROME, NY, May 24, 2007 - On May 15 and May 22, 2007, company President Bill Pirillo and Human Resources Manager Kelly Sullivan conducted a “Communicating 24/7” workshop for business professionals from the Rome area at the new NYSTEC building in Griffiss Business and Technology Park.  Sponsored by the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, the four-hour sessions were aimed at helping office workers and managers overcome communication barriers that prevent them from performing at the highest level.

“We teach people how to communicate effectively in the workplace and what their words and actions signal to co-workers,” said Sullivan.  “The tips we provide can help managers become better listeners and motivators, and help all employees improve their relationships with co-workers, managers and customers.”

“The issues covered in this workshop have contributed to NYSTEC's business success and steady growth,” added Pirillo.  “Our employees work in various locations across the Northeast, yet they must collaborate on projects and work with clients as trusted advisors.  Any organization can benefit from the communication processes that we follow at NYSTEC, so we offered to share our insights for the benefit of other businesses in the Rome area.”
