Narrowband Deadline Looms

On July 13, the FCC issued a Public Notice reminding users of land mobile radio services in wideband VHF/UHF that they must migrate to narrowband technology (12.5 kHz or narrower) by January 1, 2013.  The FCC’s narrowband mandate will accommodate more users of the increasingly crowded radio spectrum.  For more information, see our piece on Narrowbanding Basics.
