Habitat for Humanity

Ten determined volunteers from NYSTEC prepared walls for painting, sheet rocked, sealed a basement, cleared debris, and blew cellulose insulation into an attic to help transform housing units in one of Albany’s toughest areas on Sheridan Avenue into a welcoming neighborhood.

Sponsored by the Habitat for Humanity Capital District, this was NYSTEC’s second house building effort over a six month period—another example of our commitment to important local charity events that help improve conditions for our fellow not as fortunate residents and their communities.

Food Pantry New Scotland

NYSTEC volunteers spent a productive day at the New Scotland Food Pantry, helping pick up, transport, sort and process the daily haul of food donations received. So much food was donated that some had to be dispatched to another pantry in the area.  Pantry workers were grateful to NYSTEC, stressing that our team were much needed to help process the large amount of donations.

A National event that occurs all over America every December, NYSTEC employees in attendance at the Rome and Saratoga NY events placed POW/MIA wreaths on the gates representing all service men and women, Prisoners of War and Missing in Action veterans.
