December 20, 2021. NYSTEC’s CEO Kevin Owens appeared on the Capital Region’s WNYT NewsChannel 13, as NYSTEC was recognized for a donation to veteran John Renas.
A veteran himself, John collects cans and bottles, takes them home to clean, and then uses the proceeds to buy socks for homeless veterans. NYSTEC’s HST team spearheaded this meaningful donation effort and approached Kevin for a NYSTEC match, leading to generous contribution that exceeded $1,000.00.
Kevin was interviewed on December 19th by Kumi Tucker of Albany’s WNYT 13 while he was meeting John and his wife Fran to present the gift cards.

Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY to help carry and place the wreaths alongside Veteran’s tombstones and markers.
Each year, Wreaths Across America’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
NYSTECers who attended for the first time were truly moved by the ceremony honoring our fallen Veterans and are looking forward to attending next year’s event.
